Bollywood director Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s latest film ’12th Fail’ starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankr has been receiving love and appreciation from all corners, with some even calling it the best film of 2023. Notably, the movie is inspired by the life story of an Indian IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and his wife IRS officer Shraddha Joshi.
“12th Fail”, a lot better than Jawan?
12th Fail emerged as a sleeper hit grossing over ₹66 crores on a budget of just ₹20 crores and got nominated in 12 different categories at the Filmfare Awards. On the success of the movie, Indian actor Abhishek Bachchan said that he isn’t one to complain when films do well at the box office, because ultimately, that’s what the industry needs.
Saying it based on purely the quality of content, Bachchan further said that the biggest hit of last year wasn’t Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan or Pathaan, but probably 12th Fail.

In a recent discussion, Abhishek Bachchan and Vikrant Massey, where both talked about the resurgence of Bollywood in 2023, which has been fronted by a slew of hyper-masculine films.
