In a heart-pounding moment of ingenuity, 13-year-old Nikita from Uttar Pradesh’s Basti district displayed remarkable courage as she faced off against a group of marauding monkeys. The young girl’s quick thinking not only saved her and her one-year-old niece from harm but also caught the attention of none other than Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group.
Move over Tarzan, Nikita got this!
Playing at her sister’s home, Nikita found herself in a perilous situation when monkeys invaded the premises. With no adults in sight, she instinctively turned to technology for help. Commanding Amazon’s Alexa to mimic a dog’s bark, Nikita successfully scared off the intruding primates, averting a potentially dangerous encounter.
Impressed by her bravery and resourcefulness, Mahindra took to social media to commend Nikita’s actions. He emphasized the importance of technology as an enabler of human ingenuity, citing Nikita’s story as a prime example.
Recognizing her potential for leadership in an ever-evolving world, Mahindra also extended a job offer to Nikita, expressing hope that she would consider joining the Mahindra family after completing her education.

Nikita’s mother, Shipra Ojha, echoed the sentiments of pride and relief, acknowledging her daughter’s wisdom in utilizing Alexa to ward off the monkeys. “Both their lives were saved by such good use of the Alexa device”, she expressed, highlighting the critical role technology played in ensuring their safety.
