Off-Duty Pakistani-Origin Policeman Dies After Being Shot In New York Robbery

You never know what’s coming – In a tragic incident, a Pakistani-American cop associated with the New York Police Department (NYPD) lost his life after being shot during an attempted robbery earlier this week.

As per the acquired details, 26-year-old Adeed Fayaz who was off-duty at the time of the robbery had a meeting with one Randy Jones regarding the purchase of a car. However, soon after Fayaz reached Ruby Street (the pre-decided venue) to make a deal, Jones pulled out a gun and tried to rob him.

Upon retaliation, Jones without any hesitation shot Fayaz in the head and fled the scene. Reportedly, the shooting took place last weekend in East New York and both parties got connected through Facebook Marketplace. Fayaz was later taken to the nearest hospital where he died after three days.

The latest details reveal that the 38-year-old shooter has been found and arrested in the Rockland County area where he was hiding in a hotel. NYPD has charged him with murder and attempted robbery, however, he has denied knowing about the deceased’s association with the NYPD.

Young Adeed Fayaz was a resident of Long Island and was serving in the NYPD for the last five years. He left behind a wife and two adorable children and was an exemplary citizen of the US.
