In the early hours of Thursday, a powerful 6.2 magnitude earthquake jolted Islamabad, the federal capital and other surrounding areas. The tremors were felt in several parts of the country including Abbottabad and Malakand division, causing panic among the residents.

According to reports, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in Tajikistan, a neighboring country of Pakistan which was hit earlier today with a 6.8 magnitude earthquake. Luckily, no casualties have been reported by the authorities but the locals are in fear.
