In a thrilling match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8 last night, Islamabad United set a new record by scoring the highest total of 220 runs against Quetta Gladiators. The match took place at the National Stadium in Karachi and was filled with exciting moments and impressive performances from both sides.

Islamabad United’s opening pair of Rehmanullah Gurbaz and Colin Munro set the tone for their team by scoring quick runs. Gurbaz failed to score many runs while Munro contributed with a quickfire 38. The middle-order batsmen then continued the onslaught, with Azam Khan’s exceptional 97 runs on 42 balls and Asif Ali contributing with quick runs.
Quetta Gladiators, in response, got off to a shaky start, losing wickets at regular intervals. Despite valiant efforts from their middle-order batsmen, including captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, Muhammad Hafeez, and Iftikhar Ahmed, they were unable to chase down the mammoth target.
