The Federal Government of Pakistan has refuted claims circulating on social media regarding a public holiday on 25th May 2023. The government has clarified that the notification declaring Thursday as Pakistan Martyrs Day and a public holiday is fake.
MoIB rejects “fake news”
In an official statement released by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoIB), it emphasized the importance of responsible sharing of information and denounced the spread of fake news. While educational institutes will remain closed on that day, it is essential to note that no public holiday has been declared by the government.
