“Threads” Count: Imran Khan Crosses 100,000 Followers While The PM Stays Under 5,000 On First Day

Source: Hindustan Times/The Economic Times

On the first day, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan garnered more than 118,000 followers on Meta’s newly launched Threads app. On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who recently joined the platform as well, managed to amass a mere 3,762 followers.

What’s different?

Imran Khan’s massive following can be attributed to his popularity as a charismatic leader and his ability to connect with the masses through social media platforms. His party’s strong digital presence and extensive outreach campaigns have undoubtedly played a significant role in attracting such a large number of followers.

In contrast, Shehbaz Sharif’s relatively low follower count may indicate a need for greater engagement and strategic planning when it comes to online platforms. As a seasoned politician, he will need to adapt to the evolving digital landscape to reach and connect with a wider audience effectively.
