During a conversation with the media in Islamabad, Minister Haque highlighted the progress being made in the formulation of social media rules, stating that they have reached their final stage and will soon be presented to the cabinet for approval.
Excitingly, Google is not the only major company expanding its presence in Pakistan. Minister Haque revealed that TikTok, the popular video-sharing application, is also planning to establish an office in the country. The minister stressed the significance of these companies having representation in Pakistan, whether physical or virtual.
