Exciting news awaits as Skardu International Airport gears up to welcome its first-ever international flight from Dubai on August 14, 2023. Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the northern areas of Pakistan, Skardu Airport holds a unique distinction—it stands as the world’s only airport located at an astounding elevation of 7500 feet above sea level.

With the airport’s inauguration just around the corner, preparations are in full swing to ensure a smooth and efficient international operation. The Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Refueling Facility, scheduled for inauguration on August 11, adds to the airport’s capabilities, further enhancing its appeal to international airlines.
The Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) Skardu Manager, Muhammad Sadat, shared that PSO has diligently arranged for a team of employees and fuel tankers, ready to serve the arriving flights. Additionally, immigration and customs officials from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) are stationed at the airport, poised to facilitate international passengers with a warm welcome.
