In a recent announcement, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made a crucial change to their squad for the Asia Cup 2023. Right-arm fast bowler Zaman Khan will replace Naseem Shah for the remainder of the tournament due to medical reasons.
Naseem Shah injured, Haris Rauf recovering well
The decision comes after Naseem Shah injured his right shoulder during a match against India earlier this week. The PCB has been closely monitoring his condition with their medical panel, ensuring all necessary precautions are taken, especially with the impending one-day international World Cup.
Zaman Khan has swiftly stepped in to fill the void left by Shah and has already joined the team. He will be training with the squad at the R Premadasa Stadium, gearing up for the upcoming matches.

In another update, Haris Rauf, who didn’t bowl on the reserve day of the India match as a precautionary measure due to discomfort in his right flank, is said to be recovering well.
