In a significant move aimed at providing relief to the masses, the caretaker government of Pakistan has taken a bold step by slashing the prices of two of the most essential fuels – petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD).
A huge relief for the citizens
Effective from Sunday, the government reduced the price of petrol by an impressive Rs.40 per litre, while HSD witnessed a notable drop of Rs.15 per litre for the next fortnight.

The Ministry of Finance, in a recent notification, unveiled the new price structure with petrol costing Rs.283.38 and HSD priced at Rs.303.18. This reduction comes as a breath of fresh air for the citizens grappling with rising living costs, as it will significantly alleviate the burden of fuel expenses.

The government attributes this price revision to the fluctuations in international petroleum product prices and the favorable changes in the exchange rate.
