Thanks to the IT Ministry’s introduction of the lunar calendar in 2019, determining the dates of various Islamic events, including Eid-ul-Fitr, has become more uniform and streamlined. The Meteorological Department has endorsed the calendar, ensuring that the schedule aligns with Islamic traditions and facilitates nationwide celebrations.

This year, the government is contemplating a four-day holiday from April 9 (Tuesday) to April 12 (Friday), coupled with the usual weekend holidays on Saturday and Sunday observed by both government and select private offices.
