In a move set to electrify cricket enthusiasts worldwide, Cricket Australia (CA) has thrown its hat into the ring, expressing eagerness to host a high-stakes bilateral series between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. If greenlit by the Boards of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), this potential clash promises to reignite one of the most fiercely contested rivalries in the cricketing world.
Australia’s bold bid: India-Pakistan clash!
The last time these cricketing powerhouses locked horns in a bilateral series dates back to the frosty winter of 2012-13. Since then, their encounters have been limited to the grand stages of ICC events, leaving fans yearning for the intense, edge-of-the-seat drama that accompanies matches between the two nations.
Come November, the cricketing landscape Down Under is poised for a spectacle as both India and Pakistan are slated to grace Australian shores. While Pakistan is scheduled to engage in a riveting showdown featuring three ODIs and three T20Is, India will follow suit with the iconic Border-Gavaskar Trophy series commencing on November 22.
CA’s cricket operations manager Peter Roach echoed the collective excitement by stating the organization’s keenness to orchestrate a historic showdown between the cricketing giants. “We’re always interested in opportunities for matches and content that will engage our fans”, Roach remarked, underlining CA’s commitment to providing exhilarating cricketing action.

However, amidst the fervor, Roach acknowledged the current scheduling constraints, indicating that while discussions are ongoing, alterations to the existing lineup seem unlikely. Yet, CA remains steadfast in its pursuit of bringing together these titans of cricket.
