The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has firmly rejected a hybrid model for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, insisting that the entire tournament be held in Pakistan.

The PCB’s decision comes amidst security concerns and strained relations with India, leading the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to suggest a neutral venue for India’s matches.

ICC officials recently visited Pakistan to assess the country’s readiness for the tournament. Despite their evaluation, the PCB remains steadfast in its stance, proposing to host the event from February 19 to March 9, 2025, across Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore.

The PCB is particularly keen to host India’s matches in Lahore to streamline logistics and enhance security. The board has also hinted at boycotting the T20 World Cup 2026 in India if the BCCI’s proposal is enforced.
