Trump Claims Narrow Escape From Helicopter Crash With San Francisco Mayor

Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump claimed on Friday that he narrowly escaped a helicopter crash years ago alongside former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown. Trump shared this story during a press conference, describing an emergency landing that left both men shaken.

However, Willie Brown has firmly denied ever being in a helicopter with Trump, further stating that he never discussed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris with the former president. Trump’s account has drawn criticism, especially after former California politician Nate Holden claimed he had been on a helicopter ride similar to Trump’s in New Jersey, not California.

Trump doubled down on his claims on his social media platform, Truth Social, insisting that records and witnesses supported his story. Despite these assertions, Trump has not provided any evidence to back his version of events. Holden dismissed Trump’s account as either a mix-up or fabrication, adding to the controversy surrounding the former president’s statement. The incident continues to fuel debate as Trump remains under scrutiny for his recounting of the story.
