Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched a new national initiative to promote organ donation by adding a special logo on the Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) of registered donors. Announced on International Identity Day, September 16, this initiative aims to inspire more people to become organ donors, offering a chance at life for those in need.
The Prime Minister called organ donation a “profound act of kindness” that can transform lives. He urged citizens to join this life-saving effort, emphasizing that the special logo on CNICs will serve as a symbol of their commitment to this vital cause. “I encourage all citizens to participate in this initiative and become part of a life-saving community,” he said.

Shehbaz Sharif also highlighted the importance of identity, stating it is not just about recognition but also about inclusion and access to essential services.
