Batman is set to make history today, as the first superhero to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The iconic character, who has captivated audiences for 85 years, will have his star placed at 6764 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of The Hollywood Guinness World Records Museum.
Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, expressed pride in this milestone, stating, “The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor our first superhero on the Walk of Fame! The one, the only, Batman!” Fans will be delighted to know that Batman’s star will be placed near the stars of Adam West, TV’s original Batman, and co-creator Bob Kane.
Michael Empric, an official Guinness World Records adjudicator, will certify the event, marking Batman’s achievement. DC Comics’ Jim Lee and Anne DePies, alongside Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president Steve Nissen, will be present to celebrate the Dark Knight’s enduring legacy in comics, TV, and film.
Batman’s film franchise has grossed over $6.8 billion worldwide.
