Pakistani actress Ushna Shah has taken her fans by surprise by revealing that she suffers from prosopagnosia, a rare disorder that impairs the ability to recognize faces.
In a heartfelt message shared on her Instagram stories, Shah explained how this medical condition has impacted her daily life, often leaving her unable to recognize individuals even in familiar settings.
“I’d like to take a moment to share some insight into a condition known as prosopagnosia, or face blindness”, she wrote. “Over time, this condition has become more prominent for me, and I often do not immediately recognize individuals.” Shah emphasized that what was once a source of humor for her has turned into a frustrating challenge over the years.

The actress further clarified, “If there’s ever an interaction where I don’t recognize you, please understand that it’s due to this condition, not a lack of recognition or care.” By sharing her experience, Ushna Shah hopes to raise awareness about prosopagnosia and help others who may face similar challenges.
