Meta has terminated 24 employees for misusing its meal voucher system, according to recent reports. The Los Angeles-based workers were found using $25 meal credits, intended for workday meals, to purchase household items such as toothpaste, laundry detergent, and wine glasses.
An internal investigation uncovered the misuse, which also involved sending meals home when employees were not in the office. One employee admitted to using the credits for groceries, stating they didn’t want to waste the allowance when not dining at work.
