Amid the lockdown in Islamabad, a couple chose an unusual spot for their wedding photoshoot—posing in front of large containers used to block roads.
The lockdown was caused by road closures as authorities prepared for the PTI march. Major roads, including Margalla Avenue and 15 other key routes, were blocked using containers. These closures have made travel very difficult for residents, even during emergencies.
The National Highways Authority also shut down motorways leading to Islamabad, redirecting traffic to alternate routes like Thokar Niaz Baig. Thousands of people have been stuck in traffic or unable to reach their destinations due to the blockages.

In addition, the Islamabad administration evacuated student hostels, and Punjab imposed Section 144, banning protests and gatherings from November 23 to November 25.
Amid this disruption, the couple’s photoshoot in front of the containers stood out, catching attention on social media. While it brought a moment of humor, many residents continue to face serious challenges as daily life in the city remains disrupted.
