Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has dismissed allegations made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding injuries and deaths during the November 26 crackdown against protesters. Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Tarar accused PTI of spreading misinformation and using AI-generated videos to mislead both the public and international media.
“No one will receive amnesty; everyone will be held accountable,” Tarar declared, adding that PTI’s claims have been exposed on social media as baseless propaganda aimed at creating chaos and hindering national progress.
Responding to allegations that protesters were targeted by sniper fire, the minister stated, “PTI leaders claimed sniper attacks, but in three days, they haven’t produced any evidence or videos to support their claims.” He further noted that footage aired by TV channels showed PTI leaders fleeing from D-Chowk.

Furthermore, Atta Tarar, addressed the incident involving a PTI worker who was pushed off a 25-foot container by security personnel. Speaking on the incident, he stated, “the man who was pushed off the container was filming content for TikTok, not praying as per the initial claims.”
Tarar also criticized PTI for labeling the operation a “massacre” and inflating the number of casualties and injuries. He accused the party of using videos from the 2019 protests and footage from Israeli atrocities in Gaza, misrepresenting them as recent events in Pakistan.
