Indian healthcare professionals attending the 13th SAARC ENT Congress in Karachi have commended Pakistan’s exceptional hospitality and warm reception of international delegates. The event has become a platform for fostering regional cooperation in healthcare, transcending political barriers.
Dr. KP Morwani, a renowned Indian ENT surgeon visiting Pakistan for the second time, described the country as both safe and welcoming, praising the respect shown to guests. He lamented the absence of direct flights between Mumbai and Karachi, emphasizing the need for easier travel to encourage collaboration. Dr. MK Taneja, another Indian delegate, highlighted the cultural warmth and generosity experienced during the visit.
The congress, hosted by the Society of Otorhinolaryngologists of Pakistan, has drawn over 30 international delegates, including five from India. The event features workshops on advanced surgical techniques and discussions on regional health challenges such as hearing loss and oral cancer.

Organizers, including Prof. Qaiser Sajjad, emphasized the role of such conferences in building bridges for peace and understanding through the universal language of medicine. The event underscores the potential for cross-border collaboration to address pressing healthcare needs in South Asia.
The congress will continue until December 10, offering a forum for knowledge exchange and regional unity.
