A Japanese izakaya bar, Shachihoko-ya, located in Nagoya, has introduced an unusual service where patrons can pay to be slapped in the face before their meals. This quirky experience has become a popular attraction, drawing curious customers eager to try something different.

Initially, only one staff member provided the slapping service, but as demand increased, the bar expanded its offerings by hiring several waitresses willing to participate. Each slap comes with a small fee of 100 yen (approximately 90 cents), allowing guests to enhance their dining experience in a unique way.
