Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi: The recent match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi was a thrilling one but the on-field aggression went a little over the board. Mohammad Amir who is a part of Kings was seen misbehaving with Zalmi’s Babar Azam creating a wave of disappointment among the spectators.
Shahid Afridi’s aggressive take on Amir, Babar gaffe
On the matter, the former interim coach for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahid Afridi while speaking on a TV show said that he couldn’t let Amir off the hook that easily. As per Afridi’s statement, he talked and even scolded Amir for his disrespectful behavior toward Babar Azam during the PSL match.
“I messaged Amir yesterday. I talked to him respectfully, but I also scolded him. I told Amir, what do you want? You have gained so much respect, you faced a blot on your reputation and from there, you made a return. You got a new life, in a way. What are you even trying to do?”, said Afridi.

Asking Amir to keep it under control, Afridi further stated, “Is this the way to play? There are juniors around you, you are using bad words. There are fans who are disheartened to see that. Even we have used such words and sometimes, the camera used to catch us. There are families, kids watching you on television. Aggression is fine, but keep it under control”.
“Respect your fellow players”
The act was deemed disrespectful and unprofessional by Afridi. He further reminded Amir to respect his fellow players and show sportsmanship on the field.
