Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s top javelin thrower, made a strong return to competition by finishing fourth at the Paris Diamond League. This event marked his comeback after being sidelined for a year due to a knee injury and subsequent surgery.
Nadeem’s first throw reached 74.11 meters, and he improved significantly with each attempt. His second throw was 80.28 meters, and his third reached 82.71 meters, putting him among the leading competitors.
In the fourth round, he threw 82.17 meters, briefly securing a top-three position until Jacob Vadlejch’s 85-meter throw pushed him down.
Despite a determined effort in the fifth round with a throw of 84.21 meters, Nadeem could not reclaim a spot on the podium, finishing in fourth place. This performance is a crucial step in his preparation for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
