ATC Grants Bail To Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi In 12 Cases Linked To May 9th

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi have been granted bail in the May 9 violence case by the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC). The bail pleas of both political figures were heard by Judge Malik Ejaz, who presided over the proceedings.

Despite the prosecution’s request for more time, the ATC decided to reject it and granted bail to Imran Khan in 12 cases and Shah Mehmood Qureshi in 13 cases related to the May 9 violence.

The May 9 riots were a tumultuous event marked by alleged attacks on military installations following the arrest of Imran Khan, the founder of PTI.
