In a recent crackdown on food establishments, district authorities took decisive action on Friday, resulting in the closure of two popular eateries, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and OMG. These establishments, situated in Chaklala Scheme-III and Askari-3, faced closure due to alarming health and safety concerns within their kitchens.
KFC & OMG sealed
Assistant Commissioner Cantonment, Qandeel Fatima Memon, acted swiftly in response to a complaint lodged about a wire found in a burger served by KFC Scheme 3. Subsequent investigations confirmed the complaint’s authenticity, prompting the immediate closure of the branch. Authorities also issued a stern warning, urging KFC to rectify their kitchen practices and maintain stricter food preparation standards.
Meanwhile, OMG Restaurant in Askari 3 met a similar fate as a result of a complaint regarding the unpleasant odor emanating from their burgers. A kitchen inspection unveiled unsanitary conditions, with the presence of cockroaches and uncovered food containers.

Consequently, the authorities sealed the restaurant to safeguard public health and well-being. These actions serve as a reminder of the paramount importance of food safety and hygiene in the restaurant industry.
