Pakistan’s batting maestro, Babar Azam, is on the cusp of a historic T20I achievement. It looks like another cricketing record is to be shattered because this run machine is setting his sights on the top spot.
Can Babar Top Kohli & Sharma?
As of now, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam sits comfortably at number three on the all-time list of highest T20I run scorers. But with the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England, this Azam has a golden chance to leapfrog both India’s Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
According to the details, Babar Azam needs just 151 runs to match Sharma’s record and a mere 215 to dethrone Kohli from the T20I summit. Earlier this week, the green team have already departed from Lahore, for Dublin via Dubai.
They’ll be facing off against Ireland in a three-match T20I series, followed by a four-match showdown with England. This is Babar’s golden opportunity to rewrite the record books before heading to the T20 World Cup in the United States.
