The achievement was reached as he delivered a commanding 59-ball 104 for the Colombo Strikers. The clash was against the Galle Titans in the Lanka Premier League. The stage for this remarkable feat was set at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
With this achievement, Babar Azam follows in the footsteps of the West Indian dynamo Chris Gayle, who stands as the sole batter with more T20 centuries than Babar. Gayle boasts an incredible tally of 22 centuries across 463 matches. In Babar’s impressive career of 264 T20 games, he has amassed a remarkable 10 centuries.

Among other notable players, Michael Klinger, David Warner, and Virat Kohli stand on par with eight centuries each. Babar’s consistent prowess places him among the cricketing elite, solidifying his status as a force to be reckoned with in the world of T20 cricket.
