Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has joined cricket legends like Don Bradman and Brian Lara as his bat will be showcased in the prestigious Long Room at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). On Friday, Babar donated the bat he used during Pakistan’s 2022 T20 World Cup final against England, following a special invitation from the MCG management.

Expressing his gratitude, Babar said, “Honestly, it is an honor for me, and this means a lot to me because I played a World Cup final using this bat. I have many good memories here at the MCG. It is one of the best grounds of my career. Having my bat placed here alongside those of great players is truly a privilege.”

Babar’s contribution adds to the history and tradition of the MCG, where cricket legends from Australia and around the world have previously donated their bats.
