Bajaj Auto, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, just revved up the excitement by announcing the country’s first-ever CNG motorcycle launch this June.
Petrol Prices? Pfft! Bajaj’s CNG is Here
This groundbreaking innovation comes straight from the desk of Bajaj’s Managing Director, Rajiv Bajaj. The upcoming bike is expected to be a 100-125cc machine, perfect for mileage-focused riders. While the official name remains under wraps, industry speculations suggest a brand-new moniker for this revolutionary motorcycle.
However, there might be a slight bump in the initial price tag compared to traditional petrol bikes. The inclusion of a special CNG tank and the additional manufacturing costs contribute to this. But Bajaj expects operational expenses to be nearly half that of petrol motorcycles in the same engine class.

This announcement aligns perfectly with the government’s push for expanding the CNG pump network across the country. Bajaj himself pointed out the rising popularity of CNG vehicles in regions with easy access to CNG fuel.
