Bilawal Bhutto Warns Against Targeting Pakistan’s Nuclear Program

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has accused international powers of targeting Pakistan’s nuclear and missile programs. He alleged that political figures, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, are being used as tools to further this agenda.

Speaking on the 16th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Bilawal claimed that recent sanctions by the United States are part of a larger plan to prevent Muslim countries from acquiring nuclear power.

“Zulfikar Ali Bhutto created the Islamic bomb, and Benazir Bhutto introduced missile technology. These achievements are being labeled as their greatest crimes,” Bilawal said.“As long as the PPP exists, we will not allow any deals on Pakistan’s nuclear program or missile technology.”

He called for national unity to counter international conspiracies, urging political parties to prioritize Pakistan’s interests over individual agendas.

Bilawal criticized the government for failing to implement collective decisions agreed upon with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). “Unilateral actions weaken governance,” he said. “Decisions made by consensus are stronger and more effective.”

He also dismissed external statements about Pakistan’s internal politics as distractions, emphasizing that the real target is Pakistan’s strategic assets.

Bilawal concluded by reaffirming the PPP’s commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and preserving its democratic framework.
