In a significant development, BOL Network has announced its acquisition by AsiaPak Investments, a private equity firm, ushering in a new era with a change in leadership. The press release revealed that Bol Network would continue to be based in Karachi, maintaining its “nationwide presence.”
What does AsiaPak Investments do?
Notably, AsiaPak Investments boasts offices in key cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, and its investment focus spans various sectors, including infrastructure, energy, power, transport, logistics, and technology, all exclusively within Pakistan.
As part of this transition, Sameer Chishty has been introduced as the new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BOL Network. Described as a “seasoned international technology investor in Asia and the Middle East,” Chishty is expected to bring fresh perspectives and leadership to the network.

Under this new leadership, BOL Network aims to empower its users to engage with their communities on issues of significance. This development marks a pivotal moment in the network’s history, which saw delays in its TV channel launch in 2015 due to parent company Axact’s involvement in a fake degree scandal.
BOL eventually went on air in October 2016 after overcoming legal obstacles. The acquisition by AsiaPak Investments sets the stage for a promising future for BOL Network, with new leadership at the helm.
