Bride Seeks Divorce After Groom Calls Her ‘Donkey’ During Wedding in Egypt

A bride in Egypt has filed for divorce after being insulted by her husband during their wedding ceremony. Rania, a 30-year-old doctorate holder, married 33-year-old Dr. Ali based on shared educational values. However, she claims she quickly discovered his true character.

According to reports, the incident occurred when Rania slipped and fell during the ceremony. As she tried to get up, Ali publicly called her a “donkey,” humiliating her in front of the guests. Deeply hurt, Rania decided to pursue legal action.

In her court statement, Rania explained, “I fell, and as I was getting up, my husband called me a donkey in front of everyone.” The situation escalated when Rania’s brother intervened, leading to a heated argument between both families.
