On Wednesday, a Pakistani-American businessman announced a donation of two houses, each worth Rs.3.5 million, to the family of Saad Ahmed, a YouTuber, who was tragically killed by a security guard in Karachi while filming a vlog.
The heart-rending incident occurred earlier this week at Serena Mobile Mall in the Buffer Zone area. Witnesses reported that Saad was filming a video, possibly for TikTok, when the security guard, identified as 35-year-old Ahmed Gul, confronted him and opened fire.
According to locals, Saad, the only son of his parents and father of two, had recently returned to Karachi after an unsuccessful job search in Dubai. Friends had suggested he start a YouTube channel to support his family.
