DonnaJean Wilde, a 59-year-old grandmother from Alberta, Canada, has made history by completing 1,575 pushups in 60 minutes, breaking the Guinness World Record for the most pushups in one hour by a female. This remarkable feat marks her second world record, following her earlier title for holding a plank for 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 11 seconds.

DonnaJean’s rigorous training for her plank record prepared her well for this new challenge. She developed a love for pushups after performing 500 a day during her plank preparation. Training at her family home in the scenic Rocky Mountain foothills, she drew inspiration from nature’s tranquility.

The record attempt took place at a senior’s home, where her 11 grandchildren cheered her on with handmade posters and encouragement. Starting strong with 620 pushups in the first 20 minutes, she maintained her pace despite facing a shoulder injury near the end.

DonnaJean credits her success to perseverance and believes in the power of staying active. “If we stay active and set health goals, we can age gracefully and powerfully,” she said.
