The caretaker government has taken a significant step by imposing a ban on the issuance of arms licenses. This decision was promptly implemented by Sarfraz Bugti, the caretaker interior minister, upon assuming his official responsibilities.
‘Say no to firearms’
In a recent meeting, senior officials provided the minister with insights into the workings of the Ministry of Interior and its affiliated departments. Bugti, in response, articulated a strong commitment to combatting terrorism and safeguarding both the nation and its inhabitants.
He emphasized the formulation of a comprehensive strategy aimed at ensuring the security of lives, rights, and properties, without any discrimination based on religious or ethnic backgrounds.
