Let’s celebrate the huge achievements of some influential women in Pakistan who overcame all odds and made their mark in today’s male-dominating world:

Ayisha Siddiqa

In 2023, Pakistani climate defender Ayisha Siddiqa was featured in TIME’s list of the most influential women. Siddiqa gained international recognition for her tireless efforts in raising awareness about climate change and advocating for sustainable solutions in Pakistan. She founded the Green Future Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting environmental conservation and education in the country.

Earlier this month, the singer also constructed a total of 100 houses and a mosque for the flood victims. Hadiqa’s selfless act of kindness and generosity towards the flood victims of Balochistan is a shining example of how celebrities can use their platform to make a positive impact on society.

Sabahat Rizvi

Sabahat Rizvi, a lawyer from Pakistan, made history by becoming the first woman to be elected as the secretary of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) in 130 years. Her election is a significant milestone for women in Pakistan, where they have long been underrepresented in the legal profession.

Rizvi, who is a graduate of the Lahore Law College, has been practicing law for over a decade and has also served as the vice-chairperson of the Punjab Bar Council’s executive committee and as a member of the Pakistan Bar Council.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy

The announcement that Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will be directing a new Star Wars movie has sent ripples of excitement through the galaxy.
