Cellular Services In Karachi To Remain Partially Suspended Till 10th Muharram

In response to security concerns and to maintain law and order during the sensitive period of Muharram, mobile services will experience partial suspension in certain areas of Karachi until the 10th of Muharram, which falls on July 29. This decision has been taken by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) under the directives of the Ministry of Interior.

Muharram is a significant month in the Islamic calendar, and the 10th day, known as Ashura, holds great religious importance for the Shia community. However, this period has historically witnessed security challenges and potential threats to public safety in some regions.
