Zulfiqar Ahmed, CEO of Cola Next, has safely returned home following his abduction in Karachi on July 23. The businessman, who was taken by armed men, made contact with his family after five days of uncertainty. His lawyer, Ali Ashfaq, confirmed Ahmed’s safety and imminent return.
Police had earlier stated that Ahmed was already back home, and Karachi DIG (South) Syed Asad Raza has verified that he is now in Lahore. The abduction had sparked concern, leading to a petition filed by Ahmed’s wife in the Sindh High Court, as police initially did not act on her report.
Ahmed was reportedly kidnapped while traveling to Clifton with a friend. The friend was released, but Ahmed was held captive. Additionally, two senior employees of Ahmed’s factory, who were also reportedly kidnapped, have been located and are safe.
