China has reportedly developed an invisible fighter jet that can evade military radar detection. The stealth technology is based on a low-temperature plasma device that can be installed on the outer airframe of the aircraft to disrupt electromagnetic waves, including radar emissions.
Stealth just got stealthier: China’s new fighter plane!
The Chinese scientists have published their discovery in the Chinese Journal of Radio Science, details suggest. The innovation is an improvement from its predecessors, which generate a cloud of plasma draped over the plane. This new device can be tailored to fit a sensitive section of a military aircraft, such as the cockpit or radar dome and can be switched on at a moment’s notice to fool radar operators.
The device has a simple structure, wide power adjustable range and high plasma density which reduces the strength of the reflected signal. Even a conventional fighter jet can significantly reduce its radar signature with this plasma stealth device, potentially game-changing in aerial combat.
This breakthrough in stealth technology is a major development in the military field, and China is now poised to lead the way in stealth aircraft. This innovation could have far-reaching implications for the global arms race, as it is expected to be adopted for military use.

While the technology has its drawbacks, such as difficulty shrouding the aircraft part in an open environment and maintaining a high density, Chinese scientists are confident about the system’s future. The development of this invisible fighter jet is indeed a testament to China’s growing technological prowess and its emergence as a global superpower.
