Chinese Man Cycles 4,400 Km Over 100 Days to Win Back Wife’s Love

Source: South China Morning Post

Zhao, a man from Jiangsu province in China, cycled 4,400 kilometers over 100 days to reconcile with his estranged wife, Li. The couple, who married in 2007, separated two years ago due to personal differences but continued to communicate in hopes of mending their relationship.

Li jokingly told Zhao that she might consider reconciliation if he cycled to Lhasa. Taking her words seriously, Zhao began his journey from Nanjing on July 28, covering the grueling distance despite enduring two instances of heat stroke along the way.

Zhao arrived in Lhasa on October 28, and his dedication moved Li, who joined him in the city. The couple reunited officially, marking the end of their two-year separation.

Zhao now plans to extend his cycling adventure, aiming to travel to Nepal and Europe, with Li likely by his side. His journey has become a symbol of persistence and the lengths one might go to for love, capturing widespread attention and admiration across China.
