A sessions court in Karachi on Thursday acquitted Natasha Danish, who was accused in the Karsaz traffic accident case. The decision came after an out-of-court settlement was reached with the victims’ family.
Natasha was initially booked and arrested for reckless driving that resulted in the deaths of Imran Arif, 60, and his 26-year-old daughter, Amna, on August 19. The accident occurred when Natasha’s SUV collided with multiple vehicles on Karsaz Road. Another individual injured in the accident remains in critical condition.
Previously, Natasha was granted bail against a surety of Rs100,000. Her husband, Danish Iqbal, was also granted bail in relation to the case.
The victims’ family submitted an affidavit, which stated, “We have reached a settlement and have forgiven the accused. We forgive her in the name of Allah, who is the Most Merciful and Compassionate.”

According to the police, Natasha was found to be under the influence of methamphetamine at the time of the accident. The incident occurred as she traveled from her residence in DHA Scheme-I to her in-laws’ home, covering a distance of 3-4 kilometers.
