A 95-year-old man from Surrey, UK has become the oldest graduate of Kingston University in London after receiving an MA in Modern European Philosophy. David Marjot, a retired psychiatrist, completed the degree program 72 years after first qualifying as a doctor.

Now, Dr. David Marjot’s journey to earn his degree was not an easy one, as he mentioned that his memory was not what it used to be and that the degree required a lot of hard work. However, he persevered and proved that it’s never too late to learn something new.
His accomplishment has been celebrated by many including the university’s Vice-Chancellor who called him an inspiration to all those who want to continue their education at any age. The university also shared a video of Dr. Marjot’s graduation ceremony on social media, which has since gone viral.
Despite his age, Dr. Marjot is not stopping there. He is considering taking another course that could take him until he is 102 years to complete. His determination and love for learning have become a source of inspiration for many, proving that age is just a number when it comes to pursuing one’s passion.
