Dr. Mahrang Baloch, leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, has been recognized in TIME magazine’s “2024 Time100 Next” list for her impactful advocacy of Baloch rights. The magazine highlights 100 young individuals making significant contributions to society, including artists, athletes, and activists. Dr. Mahrang gained recognition for her peaceful protests, particularly her December 2023 march to Islamabad demanding justice for her missing family members.
In addition to Dr. Baloch, Palestinian food blogger Hamada Shaqoura has also made the list. After his restaurant was destroyed in Gaza’s ongoing conflict, Shaqoura transformed into a “wartime food blogger,” creating recipes from limited humanitarian aid. His videos document his efforts to prepare and distribute meals to children in refugee camps, showcasing resilience amid adversity.
