In a shocking development, Karachi police have arrested a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and his son in connection with a recent robbery.
According to media reports, the arrests occurred on Thursday after a police vehicle assigned to the DSP was identified in CCTV footage of a robbery at a shop in Karachi’s Gulshan Iqbal area.
Investigations revealed that the DSP’s son allegedly used the police vehicle to commit the crime. A third suspect, captured on CCTV assisting the robbery, was also apprehended.
However, this individual was later released after providing a statement claiming he was an ordinary citizen who was simply asked to help move items into the police vehicle.

Authorities confirmed that the accused tampered with the license plate of the police vehicle during the robbery. This incident has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns about misconduct within the police force. Further investigation is underway.
