Toshakhana Case: ECP Dismisses Plea Seeking Imran Khan’s Removal As PTI Chairman

In a major development, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rejected a plea seeking Imran Khan’s removal as the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) earlier today. Reportedly, the petition was filed following the former Premier’s disqualification in the ongoing Toshakhana reference.

As per media reports, a case was heard by a three-member bench including Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja. The hearing was also attended by Imran Khan’s lawyer Barrister Gohar.

A three-member bench, headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja, heard the case, which was also attended by Khan’s lawyer, Barrister Gohar. After a brief argument and listening to the lawyer’s side, the ECP dismissed the petition seeking Khan’s removal.
