Ed Sheeran, the chart-topping singer behind hits like “Shape of You,” has surprised fans with a recent revelation: he hasn’t owned a smartphone for almost nine years.
During a recent talk show appearance, the 33-year-old musician casually mentioned his phone-free lifestyle when host Jake Shane offered to exchange numbers. “I don’t have a number”, Sheeran explained, assuring the host it wasn’t a dismissal.
While acknowledging he uses a device for filming social media content, Sheeran emphasized it’s not a functional phone.
Explaining his decision to ditch smartphones, Sheeran cited the overwhelming nature of constant connectivity. “I had the same number from like 15. I got famous, and I had 10,000 contacts…people would just text the whole time”, he recalled
