Pakistan’s cricket landscape has witnessed a surprising twist as left-handed batter Fawad Alam embarks on a new journey in the United States of America (USA). Fawad, known for his gritty performances on the pitch, has made a significant decision to explore cricket opportunities beyond Pakistan’s borders.
Fawad joins USA’s Minor Cricket League
After his last Test appearance in Sri Lanka, Fawad Alam has now joined the ranks of the Chicago Kingsmen in the Minor League Cricket T20. This league operates under the banner of Major League Cricket (MLC), marking the USA’s inaugural professional cricket competition, which recently concluded in late July.
Notably, Fawad’s choice to align with the Chicago Kingsmen brings him alongside fellow Pakistani cricketer Hassan Khan. Hassan, recognized for his contributions to Pakistan’s age-group cricket and the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has also opted to pursue a promising cricket career in the United States.
