In a recent development, the federal government has decided to extend the Eid ul Adha holidays to four days. The holidays are now set to begin on June 28th and conclude on July 1st.

A “longer” weekend?

Initially, the government had announced a three-day holiday period from June 29th to July 1st. However, with the sighting of the moon on July 19th by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad confirmed that Eid ul Adha would be celebrated across Pakistan on June 29th.
